The tradition of roasting a pig, especially during the Christmas season, is a long-standing one.
Jíbaros are the countryside farmers, who wear straw hats.
Loiceños are people from the town of Loíza, where a popular form of music, La Plena, developed. When singing plena songs, the men wear white cotton hats.
